Called "Open Drawer", 1158 Toorak Rd, Camberwell 3124. *** Every September, the Textile Fibre Forum organisation, arranges a series of workshops at the Geelong Grammer school for a live in week of fibre art workshops as well as fibre fun & frolics. Contact TAFTA web site for more info or purchase their magazine Textile in good newsagents. Precious Purl and Lara Downs usually have a presence in the Traders Hall at these events. *** The Victorian Feltmakers offer a range of workshops for all types of would be felters from beginner to advanced. Be inspired by working along side many top name felters in our city. They operate out of their premises in Hartwell, Melbourne. Their web site is also a useful source of information. *** Precious Purl's close neighbour Beautiful Silks, runs many different workshops featuring well recognised fibre artists from Australia and overseas. We recommend their various workshops if Fitzroy is convenient for you. Don't forget to visit us too, when you make a visit to Beautiful Silks ! *** Another business offering fibre art workshops is Lumina Fibre Art Gallery in East Malvern. Lumina has a regular program of workshops for beginners and advanced . Lara Downs supplies fibre art materials to Lumina for use in their workshops as well as for purchase. ***
